Why Hoppenville
milestone birthdays live somewhere on the estate.
A 40th, 50th, 60th, or 75th birthday deserves somewhere that photographs like it matters, and with 30 to 200 guests typical for these celebrations, you have two venues at The Museum at Hoppenville built for it. The Welcome Center holds up to 220 under 20-foot ceilings, wrought-iron chandeliers, and a stone fireplace, with a full-length patio opening to the gardens if you want air between toasts; A/V is ready for a slideshow or a DJ, and parking for about 100 cars keeps the night simple for your guests. For a smaller, warmer party, the Bank Barn seats around 150 inside a restored mid-1800s post-and-beam frame, string lights overhead and sliding doors open to the adjacent lawn. Either space works as a seated banquet, a cocktail reception, or a looser lounge setup, whatever you and the guest of honor prefer. Robert Ryan Catering and Design and Tosco's Catering handle the food exclusively, and a licensed bartender or caterer pours the bar. If the honoree has a soft spot for trucks, racing, or trains, you can arrange for the on-site museum to open during the party. Rain plans move everyone indoors at no extra cost, decided together 24 to 48 hours out.
