Season
Black-tie, late-night dinner, midnight kiss under the chandeliers.
A New Year's Eve wedding at The Museum at Hoppenville means black tie under the wrought-iron chandeliers of the Welcome Center, with the stone fireplace lit and the polished concrete floor catching the light as your guests move from cocktails to a late-night dinner. Late December here means an early sunset, so your ceremony and photos happen inside golden windows of daylight, and the estate's indoor rain plan (arranged together 24 to 48 hours out, at no extra cost) becomes a cold-and-wind plan too. The Welcome Center holds up to 220 guests and is built for exactly this kind of night: 20-foot ceilings, A/V ready for a DJ or band to carry you to midnight, and a full-length patio that opens to the gardens if your crowd wants air between courses. On-site parking for about 100 vehicles means your guests are not navigating dark country roads after the kiss at midnight. If you would rather gather your closest people in a more intimate room, the Bank Barn seats about 150 under its string lights, though its doors are built for warm-weather breeze, not winter, so the Welcome Center is where most New Year's Eve couples land. One of our two in-house caterers, Robert Ryan Catering & Design or Tosco's Catering, handles your dinner and can plan a menu built for a late night and a champagne toast. Tours run Tuesday through Saturday by appointment if you want to walk the room before you commit to the date.
